Get ready to breeze through the airport and kick off your holiday adventures stress-free!

Manila, Philippines — In anticipation of the bustling holiday travel season, AirAsia Philippines is rolling out an early check-in initiative designed to provide passengers with a more seamless and enjoyable travel experience during the busy Christmas rush.

AirAsia Philippines Early Check-In Option

Travelers departing from NAIA Terminals 2 and 3 can now take advantage of this extended check-in period, allowing those who arrive early to complete their check-in well before the usual two- to three-hour window required before boarding. This proactive measure not only enables guests to bypass long queues but also contributes significantly to more efficient management of peak airport congestion, ensuring that everyone can embark on their journeys with ease and peace of mind.

Check-in counters at NAIA Terminals operate around the clock, ensuring arriving holiday travelers have access to services day or night. To streamline their airport experience and save valuable time, travelers are strongly encouraged to use online check-in via the AirAsia website or the MOVE app before arriving at the airport. This option allows passengers to avoid long lines; those with checked baggage can simply proceed directly to the dedicated baggage drop counters, significantly speeding up the check-in process.

Additionally, during the busy holiday season, both terminals are equipped with specialized service desks staffed by knowledgeable personnel who are ready to assist with any inquiries or travel concerns. These desks are readily accessible throughout the holiday period, providing expert guidance and support to ensure a smooth travel experience for all passengers.

The airline has also proactively increased capacity since October to meet the seasonal surge in demand. From Manila, weekly flight frequencies have been increased across key domestic routes, including:

  • Caticlan – from 46 to 54
  • Cebu – from 47 to 56
  • Iloilo – from 28 to 32
  • Tacloban – from 24 to 26
  • Tagbilaran – from 21 to 24
  • Puerto Princesa – from 20 to 21
  • Kalibo – from 17 to 19
  • Cagayan also Oro – 14 to 16 and 16

AirAsia Philippines CEO and President Capt. Suresh Bangah shares, “In the Philippines, we know Christmas season is one of the busiest travel periods of the year, and at AirAsia Philippines, our priority is to make every journey as convenient and stress-free as possible. We have increased flight frequencies to provide greater flexibility in travel schedules especially for those who are traveling to visit their families or taking a vacation. Our ground staff are proactively working to ensure that guests can complete their check-in process comfortably. We also encourage our guests to check-in online using the MOVE App for a more seamless experience.”

Beginning in November, AirAsia Philippines expanded its flight network with new routes from Cebu to Caticlan, Davao, Iloilo, Kuala Lumpur, and Macao. This strategic move not only strengthens AirAsia Philippines’ existing network but also improves passenger access during the busy holiday season.

With these additions, travelers will benefit from increased frequency and more convenient options, making it easier to connect with loved ones or explore popular tourist spots. AirAsia’s commitment to these vital routes underscores its dedication to supporting both local tourism and the growing demand for air travel in the region.
